Uni Study Break HOLIDAYS

My holiday started 1 week earlier. Way different from my Monash friends, I’d my holiday the week before them and need to go for lab block during the real break. Anyway, during this 1 week break, I went to Melbourne city to find my aunt. First three days I’ve basically sat at home n do my reports (of course I did sneak into city for some good good food like gelati from Lygon St., and Chocolate Lick from Max Brenner’s Chocolate.
On Wednesday I had this angel/devil talk around my head for buying the boardshorts from JayJay, I took the shortest time to Flinder’s Station and went back my aunt home early.
Thursday is an interesting day. My uncle brought for a ride in The Great Ocean Road (TGOR). TGOR was a glorious ride along the seaside. However there is this say ‘no pain no gain’ and it is true for this ride. The road from Loin to Apollo bay is so winding that it made me headache. Had picnic lunch at Apollo bay and it was nice sitting in the sun at around 15°C (I guess it is 15 or less?). The waves were the most eye-catching. After about 1 hour from Apollo bay, we reach the Twelve Apostles. Although another apostle had fallen to Judas, I guess there were still se7en standing. These Apostles were super duper marvelous and impressive until I could not take my eyes from them. Then it was followed by more traveling n traveling.

Left: spring water from the groundwater, contained a lot of mineral which tasted like rusty water and Right: Tuscan design homestead.

Weekend was the days of mineral spring. Early friday morning we travel to Dalyesford (somewhere near Ballarat? I think). I was staying in the homestead but I reckon mine is better than my aunt and uncle’s manor, more classic and it was in Tuscan design. I’d dinner at the local pub, chicken kiev with Carlton Draught (I’ve started love Draught as it was smooth and not beery). Came back home and learned and played a few games of mahjong (only beginning mahjong). Before I sleep I went online through WiFi at my homestead while watching Jungle 2 Jungle by Tim Allen.
The next day began very early…8.30am woke up by aunt and went for a walk around the lake. We did go to the mineral spring of Hepburn Spring. This was basically water pumped from the groundwater which contains a heap of mineral. It tasted weird, something like rusty water and gassy (forgotten to take some for my friends…). Came back and played more mahjong (anyway that was a mahjong trip of my aunt with her mahjong friends). Dinner was the best meal I ever had yet the most expensive. Starting with entrees, it was fried quill, then it was roasted rabbit and potato fritters and Mediterranean veggies. With Draught beer, this meal costed my aunt A$40 and it was in a pub (a more famous pub call Farmers something)… Sunday was just a normal day traveling back to city and rest.
My holiday ended so hasty without me knowing it.
